Popular prophet, Baba Fakaye of Cherubim and Seraphim is dead

Popular Prophet (Dr) Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, the General Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere is dead.
The church announced his demise this morning during their Sunday (yesterday 11/01/2015) service but did not specify what led to his death.

Prophet Gabriel was one of the prophets who spoke fervently against charging church members a particular fee before having access to the church. His members have described him as a man that will be missed by all and indeed it’s a black Sunday for them.

Until his demise, Baba Fakaye, as he’s fondly called was a person of manifest devotion to family and friends, a visionary leader with profound knowledge, grasp, and appreciation of history.
He runs both television and radio: G.O Fakeye television programs feature secret of psalms and healing and have been the target of government scrutiny for these claims.

Nigeria Troops foil terrorist attempt to occupy Damaturu while Mission to reclaim Baga is ongoing in a statement by the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Troops are on mopping up operation around Damaturu after successfully foiling and containing the terrorists attempt to occupy parts of the town. The terrorists had launched massive attack from different directions of the town on Friday evening, but troops were promptly mobilized to repel the attack that lasted the night resulting in heavy casualty on the terrorists before the rest of them retreated. Weapons including IEDs and Rocket Propelled Grenades captured from the terrorists are being compiled while their dead as well as civilian casualties are yet to be determined.
Pursuit of the fleeing terrorists is also ongoing while the 5 soldiers who were seriously wounded in the attack are being treated in the military medical facility. Although normalcy has been restored, the town is also being reinforced with more troops. More details later.
Meanwhile the situation in Baga is still being studied to determine the appropriate action that will restore law, order and normalcy to the community after the attack mounted by hundreds of heavily armed terrorists last weekend. A total of 14 soldiers were killed in action during the attack, while over 30 who were wounded are now receiving medical attention. Most of those declared missing in action have also rejoined their unit in the ongoing reorganization for further operations.
Although several of the terrorists died in the course of the attack and efforts at repelling the assailants, the actual figure of civilian casualties is yet to be creditably determined as is being propagated in certain quarters.

ISIS orders killing of own wounded in battle

Iraqi security forces have obtained a document issued by ISIL showing that the Takfiri terrorist group has ordered its commanders to kill wounded militants in battlegrounds, as reported by IRNA.
The document instructs the commanders to kill those wounded during battles as the group faces a shortage of medical supplies in its stronghold in Mosul, according to IRNA.
It says that any commander disobeying the order will be severely punished.
The document also admits that the Takfiri terrorists are in a very bad situation under the rising pressure from the Iraqi army.
Iraqi soldiers and police units, Kurdish forces, Shia volunteer forces and Sunni tribesmen have recently succeeded in driving ISIL out of some areas in Iraq. The group has suffered huge blows over the past weeks as the Iraqi army continues to retake some key areas in the country’s central and Western parts. Terrorists have also suffered numerous setbacks in neighboring Syria.
The ISIL leadership in Mosul has also ordered killing of dozens of its commanders over the past few weeks.
The ISIL terrorist group started its campaign of terror in Iraq in June 2014. The heavily armed militants took control of Mosul before sweeping through parts of the country’s Sunni Arab heartland.
The notorious terror elements have been carrying out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations, against all Iraqi communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, and Christians.

Commercial Sex Workers In Ghana Says Erratic Power Supply Is Affecting Their Business

Some commercial sex workers in Accra, Ghana are unhappy because inconsistent power supply is spoiling their business.
According to Omg Ghana, 32 sex workers revealed their displeasure about the situation in the country.
Many of the women interviewed reportedly conduct their trade at Toppers, a popular brothel at St. John’s near Dome in Accra.
“I find myself in an emotional frenzy when the dumsor comes…night is a hateful agent with its accompanying social vices like armed robbery and serial killing of women. These things scare me. And I know the men are also scared. So, it throws our business out of balance, and makes everything basaa,” said Gloria.
Another commercial sex worker named Joyce, who is 19 years old said “From where we stand, the dumsor means you can’t see anything on the street; the customers cannot see what we look like. Why would they bother to come?”
Others complained that their high-profile clients like ministers, businessmen, and members of parliament do not like conducting their business when there is no power, as it gets hot, and the environment stops becoming conducive for them.
“For instance, if he wants to go for marathon, like all-night sex orgy, how do you do it in the heat? You can just imagine how the two of you will be sweating profusely without a fan,” said Afia.

Nigerian Oil Workers to Embark on Indefinite Strike

Oil workers in Nigeria are set to embark on an indefinite strike from Monday, December 15th, as they are unhappy about some unresolved issues they have with the Federal Government.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) and their counterparts, the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), are adamant about conducting the strike, Premium Times reports.
An official from PENGASSAN is said to have told reporters that ” some of the contentious issues include the decision of the management of Total Nigeria to sack the PENGASSAN zonal Secretary in Port Harcourt and the lack of promotion for workers of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF).”
The workers also reportedly complained that the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) which was sent to the National Assembly for review two years ago is still yet to be passed.
“We (the oil workers) have sufficient reasons, based on information available to us, to believe that the law makers are not prepared to pass the law, even as the state of the country’s petroleum industry has continued to deteriorate as a result of the absence of a regulatory and legal framework for the industry…
This does not augur well for the future of the country’s oil industry, as new investments would continue to elude the country, to the benefit of other oil producing nations around the continent, if the law is not passed. This is not acceptable,” said the official.
