THE LIVITY OF RASTAFARI. UNTOLD STORIES

If a man is walking down the street with a bible in hand, you wouldn't say: here goes a Christian. If a Japanese man passed by you, neither would you say: good morning Budda. And if an Arab looking man with a full face of beard approaches, you wouldn't say here comes Mohammed. So why it is that every dread-lock sporting person is deemed as Rastafari.
Do we truly understand, or as the rasta would say overstand what it truly means to be Ras Tafari. With modernization, has come the revision of Jah Laws for the convenience of man; with a mixture of fashion and fakes intermingled among 12 tribes. With Bobo and Nyabingi, who is truly reflective of the authentic livity of Rastafari?

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari Congratulates Obasanjo on His Birthday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), praised Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo on his 78th.
It is evident that Chief Obasanjo will be receiving a lot of congratulatory messages on his 78th birthday which he celebrates today, March 5, 2015. One of them has already come from the former military Head of State.
It should be noted that after OBJ had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it was on numerous occasions alleged that he endorsed the APC candidate.
Although seems that directly, it was not the case, but Obasanjo has been referring to Buhari as a man capable of ruling the country.
Speaking recently in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Obasanjo was said to have predicted that Buhari would win March 28 elections.
Today General Buhari has something to say about the renowned politician. According to GMB, Obasanjo is a corageous patriot who is not afraid of telling the truth
He made this known in a statement issued specially for the occasion.
Buhari also characterized Obasanjo as a nationalist whose commitment to democracy and good governance are worthy of praise.
Although the birthday man is often described as a controversial politician, his patriotism is truly remarkable, Buhari added.
The APC candidate insisted that Nigeria’s former leader is always there for his country, to jolt the conscience of leaders to listen to those they govern.
Moreover GMB commended Chief Obasanjo over his spectacular broadminded approach and passion with which he served the country.
Interestingly, the birthday man prepared for the big day in quite an unusual manner. March 4 he played football with some of his colleagues. Obasanjo was wearing a T-shirt with number 78 on the back, his age.

US ambassador attacked in South Korea

The US ambassador to South Korea has been attacked by a knife-wielding man shouting anti-war slogans during a public event at an arts centre in Seoul.
The ambassador, Mark Lippert, was assaulted during a breakfast conference, as he was preparing to give a lecture about prospects for peace on the divided Korean Peninsula.
The US embassy said Lippert was in stable condition after surgery at a Seoul hospital. Hours after the attack Lippert tweeted that he was "doing well and in great spirits".
The suspect, identified by police as Kim Ki-jong, 55, was immediately apprehended at the scene. Police said he slashed Lippert on the face and wrist with a knife. Kim had a previous conviction for hurling a stone at the then Japanese ambassador to Seoul in 2010, police said.
"We have detained him and are investigating the cause of the attack and other circumstances," said district police chief Yoon Myung-soon.
Sources said that Kim is the head of a relatively small civic organisation that has been calling for peace and reconciliation with North Korea.
According to witnesses, he repeatedly shouted "No drills for war." He was apparently referring to the ongoing large-scale South Korea-US military exercise, which occurs every year around this time.
Anti-US protesters in Seoul have recently demonstrated against the drills that North Korea says are preparation for an invasion. Seoul and Washington say the exercises, which will run until the end of April, are defensive and routine.
On Monday, the first day of this year's drills, North Korea test-fired short range missiles in reaction to the exercises.
