Obasanjo is An Expired Man - Gov. Fayose Fires Shots at Former President
Governor Ayodele Fayose
of Ekiti State has said he is way more politically relevant than elder
statesman and former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The governor added that
as the number one citizen of Ekiti State, he wields more power than Obasanjo
who “goes to Abuja to beg President Muhammadu Buhari for political favours.”
The governor said this during a press conference in Lagos on Sunday.

Reggae Dancehall Queen, Deejay Lady Saw says she will be cancelling all her
dancehall shows because God has called her to work for Him.
She
made this known on her Instagram page, Lady Saw, whose real name is Marion
Hall, said God spoke to her today.
“God
has just spoken to me,” Hall wrote. “He did so at J Capri service and finish it
off in my house.”

I transferred $322m Abacha loot to Dasuki Office - Okonjo-Iweala
The former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi
Okonjo-Iweala, on Wednesday said she transferred $322m (N64.148bn) from the
looted funds recovered from the former Head of State, the late Gen. Sani
Abacha, to the Office of the National Security Adviser for military operations
in the North-East.
The ex-minister, in a statement by her Media
Adviser, Mr. Paul Nwabuikwu, said the transfer of the fund was approved after a
committee, set up by former President Goodluck Jonathan, gave approval for the
use of the fund.
Gay rights activist brings legal challenge to Jamaica's anti-sodomy law
Maurice Tomlinson, a Jamaican gay
rights activist and attorney, has filed a claim in the Supreme Court of
Judicature, challenging the constitutionality of Jamaica’s laws criminalising
consensual sex between men.
The legal challenge which will be
announced at a press conference tomorrow in Kingston, Jamaica according to a
news release issued by the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network — is being supported
by the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and AIDS-Free World.
The release said in its arguments,
the legal challenge outlines the ways in which the law violates the
constitutional rights of Jamaicans.
We don’t have money to complete our secretariat – PDP
The national
leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it no longer
has money to complete its multi-billion naira new national secretariat. The new
secretariat is located at the Central Business District, Abuja. It was gathered
that the project was billed to cost N11.5bn when it was awarded some years ago.
Kogi: APC may considers replacing Faleke as Deputy
The National
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has said
the party will not hesitate to find a replacement for the Kogi State Deputy
Governor-elect, James Faleke, if the need arises.
Odigie-Oyegun said
this in response to questions from newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.
He explained that
as a political party, the APC was saddened by the sudden death of Abubakar
Audu, its original standard bearer in the Kogi State governorship election but
that it had to move on.
