EFCC slams theft charge on Tompolo, Akpobolokemi
Nigeria anti-graft agency Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed forty-count criminal charge of
unlawful conversion against former leader of Niger-Delta militants, Government
Ekpemupolo also known as Tompolo and ex-NIMASA boss Patrick Akpobolokemi.
The duo were alleged to have
converted the sum of $108.7 million and N2.2 billion, property of the Nigerian
Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, knowing that the said sums were
proceeds of stealing.
Both were charged before a Federal
high court sitting in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Charged with them were three
other accused persons and five limited liability companies.

leadership of the APC in Kaduna state has concluded to subject highly vocal
Senator Shehu Sani to strict punishment after a protracted rift with the

Progressives Congress appears to have concluded plans to suspend the Senator
representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani from the party over the unresolved rift

More than 70 Nigerians were
allegedly killed on Sunday when Cameroonian troops invaded a village in Borno
state.
Residents of Kirawa-Jimni village in
Gwoza local government area of Borno State have said that they have buried over
70 persons after soldiers of the Cameroonian army allegedly chased Boko Haram
insurgents into their community.

We have defeated Boko Haram, December deadline met
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said on Wednesday that the Nigerian military had met the December deadline to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.
The minister said this during his maiden meeting with editorial heads of media houses in Lagos.
President Mohammadu Buhari had, upon assuming office, issued a December 31 deadline to the military to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.
