The Headies Awards to hold December 30



Lagos - The Headies Awards which recognizes outstanding work by Nigerian music talents will hold December 30, reports Pulse.ng
Organisers of The Headies Awards have announced that the 2015 ceremony will hold on Wednesday December 30 at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In this year’s edition only music released between July 2014 and June 2015 are eligible for nomination, and a chance to win the 21-karat gold-plated Headies statue.
Olamide is top of the nomination table this year with eight nods including – Best Pop single, Rap Album, Best Collaboration (twice), Best Street-Hop Artiste, Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, and Song of the Year.
Following closely is Wizkid, who has seven nominations in Recording of the Year, Best RnB/Pop Album, Best Pop Single, Best Collabo, Album of the Year, Artiste of the year, and Song of the Year.
Contending for one of the biggest awards of the night – Artiste of the year are Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, and P-Square.
