Minister of the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT), Muhammad Bello has frowned at the Kuje Area Council Chairman,
Shabban Tete for not maintaining a clean environment.
Bello made this known at a visit to a Junior
Secondary School, Kuje in presentation of learning materials to indigent
students of the FCT by the Nigerian Turkish international Colleges Foundation,
NTIC.
Responding to the request of Tete about
the completion of the Kuje- Gwagwalada road, Bello who described the
environment as a shame urged the chairman to ensure the city is clean before the
completion of the road.
Bello also decried the poor performance
of students in key national examinations- JAMB, WAEC and NECO; urging all
stakeholders to work together in improving the education system.
He charged the teachers to improve on
the performance of students at national examinations to ensure that area
council can compete favorably with other students in the country.
