Stay away from Benue state, Governor Ortom warns homosexuals

The Governor of Benue State while hosting the Prelate of the Anglican Communion of Nigeria, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, in Makurdi yesterday, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State asked homosexuals to stay away from the state, warning that his administration would not spare anyone caught practicing it in the state.

Kaduna State Govt. To Build Rehabilitation Home for Beggars, Physically Challenged

The Kaduna State government has promised to build a rehabilitation home for beggars and physically challenged persons in the state.
Beggars and physically challenged persons in Kaduna State, North-west Nigeria, had earlier took to the streets to protest the ban on street begging and hawking by the State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The ban came shortly after a female suicide bomber sneaked into the venue of a Workers Screening Exercise at Sabon Gari Local Government Area in the State and detonated an Improvised Explosive Device that killed 22 people and injured 32 others.
The beggars described the prohibition as an abuse on their fundamental rights as citizens of the state threatened to drag the state government to court if it fails to reverse the decision.
As part of measures to douse the protest generated by the ban, Governor El-Rufai held a reconciliation meeting with them.
